Bring cash from town
Assume there is no ATM out here. The ATMs are in central Puerto Escondido — inside bank branches and inside the big supermarket, which are also the safest ones to use, in daylight.
Small places, colectivos, mototaxis and market stalls are cash only. Take out what you need while you are in town rather than making a special trip back.
